Giving credit where credit is due… (PLUS A FREE PATTERN!)

I just received an email that made my day! :D This really nice person emailed me because he noticed that I reblogged a Blooming Flower Cushion that wasn’t properly credited, and then asked me to post the links.
I’ve updated that last post, but I’d like to dedicate another post to this issue because I’m so happy that there are people like him watching out for others’ artistic rights. So a big THANK YOU to him for going out of his way to make sure credit is given where credit is due, and a thank you to others who’d do the same. You are amazing people. <3
Lucy provides a FREE TUTORIAL (with the suggestion of a donation) for this lovely crocheted pillow at her blog, Attic24. Check it out! :D
Here’s a picture of the finished piece:

this is quite easy to make and actually super useful for things other than just yarn.
Chinese Wedding Dolls! (work in progress)
Check out the end of this post for links to TUTORIALS!
This is the first time I’m trying to crochet PEOPLE, so I had absolutely no idea how to make hair!! D: It seems like there are so many different ways to tackle this part of the project.
I actually ended up just designing the bride’s hair and slowly figuring out how to put it all together on my own. I decided to create a side bun and a single braid leading down to it (I’ll probably add a couple of flowers or something when I add the final details). The hair took about 5 hours to make, and the back is not as smooth as I hoped, but overall I’d consider this a pretty successful first attempt! :D I can’t wait to finish.

Happy crocheting! And just so I don’t discriminate, HAPPY KNITTING! :D
