10 Things Every Creative Person (That’s YOU) Must Learn
“Here is a list of 10 things I’ve learned the hard way that every photographer, designer, creative–hell, every creative person–should know.” — Chase (Click the title link to read the full-length version of this awesome article!)
1. Experts aren’t the answer.
2. Clients cannot tell you what they need.
3. Don’t aim for ‘better’, aim for ‘different’.
4. Big challenges create the best work.
5. Aesthetic sensibilities actually matter.
6. Simple is good.
7. Make mistakes, learn quickly.
8. “Value” is different from “price.”
9. A-Gamers work with A-Gamers.
10. Real artists create.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
Hello!
Updates from A Morning Cup of Jo:
1) Moving: I’m still moving all of my old creations from A Morning Cup of Jo to their new home in my personal crafts Tumblr —> A Morning Cup of Jo Creations. Come check it out sometime! :) All future giveaways, coupons, and freebies will be hosted from there. ;P
2) Remodeling: I’ll be changing my theme for easier viewing, so please excuse the work-in-progress mess!
3) Building: Do you have creative work you want to share on my blog? Soon you’ll be able to submit your own crafts projects, illustration, fine art, tutorials, papercrafts, photography, design, amigurumi, and much more! :) I’m currently building a Submission Guidelines page, so stay tuned.
4) Expanding: I’ll be creating a Facebook “Like” page as soon as I can, so I hope you’ll join me in this expansion!
5) Opening: My online shops will be opening in the near future! I think I’m going with Etsy and Zibbet… and possibly Artfire. Keep an eye out for my patterns and amigurumi! <3
That’s all for now!
I hope you’re all having a wonderful weekend. :)
I stumbled on one of Pernilla Bjorklund’s photos on deviantART and soon fell in love with the rest of her nature and holiday photography. She captures the beauty in nature’s small details and the nostalgia of the holiday season. I can practically smell the cinnamon rolls. :)
This is where I spent my day today. Beautiful Mt. Charleston just 35 miles outside of Las Vegas.
Wow <3
