Legend of Zelda: Magic Beans!! I made this pin(yes, it’s a pin!) a while ago for a challenge at a craft group. Obviously i’m a huge zelda fan ;).

Do you remember these? In Ocarina of Time the soft soil spots(where these can be planted) only appear during Link’s child era. After seven years(Link’s adult phase), they will turn into platforms which will grant Link access to certain areas otherwise impossible to reach. They also make an appearance in Majora’s Mask.They really take me back… I kind’a liked the guy you get these from, except for the fact that he would increase the price every time you bought one.

This is how it started out, 4 mini yarn balls(lol). I then crocheted the pea-pod and sewed them in place. It’s currently for sale at my etsy shop(here). You can find them here! :D

gottasculptemall: #001 Bulbasaur This is Bulbasaur, my first pokemon sculpture, although he wasn’t my first starter in the game.  At first I didn’t much like how I sculpted his body, but after painting him I think he turned out pretty cute!  He’s sitting on a quarter so you see how big he is. OMG GOTTA REBLOG ‘EM ALL!!!!! But I won’t… because this artist’s goal is to sculpt ALL 150 of the original Pokemon! :P She has serious sculpting skills, so I highly recommend checking out http://gottasculptemall.tumblr.com/ if you like sculpting, Pokemon, and anything kawaii! :) <3 Josephine

WE’RE PUBLISHING A CROCHET BOOK!!!

My amigurumi designs will be featured alongside 11 other designers’ patterns in a super cute crochet book! :D Amigurumipatterns.net has been working really hard this summer to collaborate with all of us designers, spread the word, and gain support for this project. After hosting a funding campaign for this past month, we’ve met our goal! THE BOOK WILL BE PRINTED! WOOHOO!

So far, about 300 people have ordered the printed book, 65 people have ordered the e-book, and 107 people have ordered the tote bag! :D

If you’d like to get your hands on a copy of this book (or 5) before the prices go up and before we run out, check out our Zoomigurumi project before SEPTEMBER 29th!

Hi everyone! 

I don’t know if anyone will see this post on their dashboard since I haven’t been posting lately… but hi anyway! :)  It’s been a while!  Life’s even more hectic now than it was LAST school year, and those of you who’ve been following my Tumblr for that long can probably imagine why I haven’t found time to update my blogs. @__@ I apologize for disappearing, and I will try to drop in more often. :) I hope you’ve been doing well!!!

I made a tiny photo collage to give you a glimpse of what I’ve been up to in my life outside of Tumblr. Photos of school, work, and taking exams were left out because I’d rather not relive those memories. :P My summer highlights included a trip to Hawaii, a trip to Mammoth, a trip to Yosemite, rescuing a kitten, and the invitation to get my crochet pattern designs published in a book! YIPEEEE! :D I updated my Facebook Fan Page throughout the summer if you’d like to see what’s been happening in A Morning Cup of Jo Creations. :)

Coffee, yarn, and great weather — Sunday morning bliss.

Hugo the Unicorn is finished!!! I’ll try to continue working on his crochet pattern before I leave for my much needed family vacation. Only three more days. Where did the time go?! :P

Meet Charlie the Baby Panda. He is our unofficial groundskeeper here at Jo’s Home, and we’re mighty appreciative! Charlie has a gentle touch and loving nature. Sometimes you can even catch him singing to his pretty peonies or telling bedtime stories to his lotus flowers.

A while ago, Charlie tried to teach me how to garden, but his efforts were futile — there was no chance of saving plants under my care. The peonies began to wilt in fear as I approached, and the lotus flowers would close up quickly and submerge themselves under water! One day, just when I started to think that all plants hated me, Charlie surprised me with a gift! He and his purple panda friend, Suzie, crocheted a lucky bamboo plant for me!!! He told me that it will never require any watering, pruning, or fertilizing. That’s my kind of plant! Haha :) I can’t decide if the pandas crocheted this plant for me because they love me… or because they didn’t want me killing any more of their flowers. In any case, I love the gift, and it now sits proudly on my window sill!

I should not have sipped on coffee from 8PM-10PM while editing an essay… it’s now 4AM here in California and I’m WIDE AWAKE! I’m almost done with another crocheted panda, and I’m finally starting to add creations into my Etsy shop!!!  Come visit to find new and old amigurumi creations as well as a few felt friends you might recognize from the past. :D

It’s about time I get this shop going, right? :P Yay for productivity!

Top photo: I’m almost done with six baby pandas (only nine more to go…)!  Can you tell I’m having trouble painting these tiny little things?!  Tonight I’m not just painting pandas — I’m painting fingers! :)

Bottom photo: I learned that Sculpey III is the weakest of the Sculpey clays… too bad I found that out the hard way. R.I.P., dear panda friend.  Needless to say, these pandas won’t survive as bracelet/phone charms! I’ll buy some Premo Sculpey or Super Sculpey to make stronger bears.

Top photo: Jellyfish bear?  This little amigurumi polar bear is being crocheted as a commissioned birthday gift! Almost done and so excited to put the finishing touches! :D

Bottom photo: This is my favorite charm! Yay for tiny tiny limbs! I’m having so much fun experimenting with these, and I can’t wait to see how my finished bears look. :D Painting all these charms will be an interesting task…

QUESTION: Would you want tiny clay versions of my crocheted animals to appear in my Etsy shop???

For my Interiors project I created a set of simple, shoe-box sized interiors which have a strong sense of dis-equalibrium, created by the absence of clutter or unnecessary furniture. The furniture is two-dimensional, which is only revealed by lighting and shadow.  Hopefully, I influence the viewer to read my images in three stages - firstly, they see an average if not curiously sparse interior, then they notice the two-dimensional and scaled-down elements, then finally they&#8217;re left in a state of dis-equalibrium, whereby they cannot see the interior as realistic (which they had previously) ever again.  I hope you like my work and are able to offer some thoughts or feedback.
