Weekend Spotlight: Jon Lau!
Super cute animals. :D
Submitted by draa: Fox Companion- I made this for someone special. It’s pose-able, lightly stuffed and has magnets in the paws so it can sometimes grab things haha.
I sculpted the head first, making each part until I was happy with it and baked lightly to secure it (It’s made from sculptey). When everything was done, I sanded it down to make it smooth.
Then I made the wireframe for the body, which included the arms/legs and tail. I also made the paws afterwords and baked them directly onto the armature wire.
Painted the head, sleepy eyes! Then using whatever fabric I had at home I made it some clothes and a fluffy tail. It’s kinda hard to see but it’s holding onto a blue heart haha.
Stands about 5 inches tall :)
“Secret Order of the Narwhal” necklaces and brooches, made by Touch the Dutch. :D

Angry Birds and Hubert the Elephant
Submitted by deathofabeautifulwoman: These are some Angry Birds amigurumi I made at the request of a friend and my fiance. :)
Work-in-Progress pt. 3
Despite all of their hard work, Millie and Mumbles couldn’t save Nibbles! There was just too much sewing to do and too little time. :(
It seems that Z-Stanley may have a new friend after all…

New Blog: A Morning Cup of Jo Creations
The “MY CREATIONS! :)” page was becoming too cumbersome, so I’m now archiving my crocheted/sewn goodies in a separate Tumblr! :) I’ll still be doing my thing on A Morning Cup of Jo, but the other blog will be dedicated solely to my own designs. It’s like a “behind the scenes” look into my creations! If reading more about these little creatures interests you, please stop by sometime! :D
.
Blog description: “Hello! This blog is a place for all the amigurumi creations I design and crochet. Here is where we celebrate the journey as well as the destination, so you’ll find lots of work-in-progress photos, lengthy posts about the process, and fun memories collected along the way. Welcome to our home and please join us in our little adventures! I hope you enjoy your stay. <3 Josephine”

ARM THE ANIMALS!!! Saving lives one shirt at a time.
“Arm The Animals creates killer T-Shirts that make a statement, raise awareness, and generate funds for small, struggling animal rescues. We know we can’t save every “at-risk” animal, but we CAN save some! By creating funny, unique, witty graphic T-Shirts and accessories, we know we can raise awareness about animal welfare AND make a difference by donating to shelters! So, every month we donate a very generous portion of every sale we make to reputable shelters - no matter what!” (To read more about their MISSION, click here!)
“Like” them on Facebook, share your design ideas and photos, and receive updates on their latest events and animal rescue news!
.
I personally know one of the owners of this small business and his family, and they’re really good people who truly DO care about this cause. They put in long hours to help spread awareness, and the small, NO-KILL shelters that they help are extremely grateful for their efforts.
The “Cat-astrophe” design is my favorite because we rescued a tiny kitten 2 years ago and he’s been living with us since! Some of you may know him:

Reply with a photo and/or story! :) Have you adopted/saved any animals?
